How to Make Black Color

If your hair is gray, you can make it black in a two-way process. In this process, (1) henna is applied and washed off; (2) indigo paste is applied on henna.

The two-step process tends to produce a very dark result. Therefore, this method is not recommended for those people who want brown or dark brown hair.
To apply hendigo this two-way process, mix up your henna paste, wait for dye release (12 to 24 hours) and apply it to your hair, leaving on hair for approximately 3 hours. Then rinse out your hair. After that, prepare indigo paste (mix indigo with water) and apply indigo to your hair the same way you used the henna. Leave for about three hours or as long as desired and then rinse out. You will dye your hair permanently. You will not wash it out. It will be wholly black.

If you want, you can perform the indigo step a few days later (wait until henna oxidizes and becomes a little darker - it takes about 48 hours for henna to oxidize). However, you should know that your hair would be orange before you apply indigo. More...
